Numerical Simulation of Lunar Seismic Wave Propagation: Investigation of Subsurface Scattering Properties Near Apollo 12 Landing Site

One of the most critical issues associated with analysis lunar seismic data is intense scattering, which prevents precise phase identifications, thereby resulting in poor constraints on internal structure Moon. Although some studies estimated subsurface scattering properties from analyses Apollo data, have large uncertainties and are still open to be resolved improve inner model While previous tried constrain features within crust mainly analysis, this study them a numerical approach.
